In Paarl's leafy, established streets, from the older parts of Lemoenkloof and Courtrai to the tree-lined roads around Boschenmeer, one of the most common causes of a blocked drain is tree roots. Roots find the joints in old clay and earthenware sewer lines, work their way in, and slowly choke or even collapse the pipe. A plunger will never fix that, which is why we camera the line to see exactly what is going on.
