Paarl really has two building worlds, and a bathroom or kitchen looks different in each. Many of these houses still carry their original galvanised supply pipes, and a renovation is the one moment those walls stand open. Swapping the tired galvanised while the tiles are off is the smart move; going back in once everything is sealed is costly and messy.
Pressure is the next thing we check before you spend on good mixers. If Drakenstein's municipal pressure sits above the 400 kPa cap in SANS 10252, it hammers new fittings and shortens their life, so a pressure-reducing valve is a small addition that protects the whole renovation. On homes drawing borehole water, the hard, granite-fed groundwater scales up fittings and cartridges, so we allow for that in what we install.
Out on the security estates, like Val de Vie and Pearl Valley, it's usually a new bathroom or kitchen worked straight off the builder's plans rather than a retrofit. There the priority is timing: we rough in the first fix to suit the programme, pressure-test it, and sign it off watertight before the screed and tiling go down, then return for the second-fix finishing. On both kinds of job we work in with your builder and tiler, and leave the site clean.

On a renovation the plumbing has to land at the right moment, so we coordinate our first fix with your builder's programme and make sure everything is roughed in, pressure-tested and watertight before the tiler starts. We come back for the second-fix fittings once the tiling and finishes are done.
